The cistern was placed on the south part of the city, was carved on the bedrock and it was used for rainwater harvesting. It was roofed with a large stone slab and on the center of the ceiling was a small opening blocked with vertical stone, for cleaning purposes. An underground pipeline was connected on the upper right corner of the back wall.
