In 2000, digital cameras were a novelty. USB was still not widely used, and standardized memory cards and memory readers did not exist, and this camera connected through the serial interface using a proprietary protocol. (Other cameras had a system that pretended to be a diskette and was inserted in the diskette drive; this was faster.) It had two modes: 640x480 and 1024x768. The 4MB memory card was enough for approximately 35 pictures in the first mode and 13 in the second.
The research project http://itia.ntua.gr/2002plastiras/ was performed with this unit.
Presumably it still works if batteries are inserted in the battery compartment, which is broken but can be held closed with a bit of tape. It takes four AA batteries. It drained alkaline batteries quite fast, and for that reason I had bought rechargeable NiMH batteries and a charger; these things were also a novelty.
