Documentation report of Investment Submission Form for subcategory “Multi‐purpose dams/reservoirs"

This report is submitted within the framework of the research project entitled “Technical support services in the context of the establishment of the Islands' Decarbonization Fund”, which is elaboration by a research group of the Department of Water Resources and Environment of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, under the scientific supervision of A. Efstratiadis, Associate Professor in Water-Energy Systems and Renewable Energy. The project concerns the development of a specialized technical study for the technical and financial analysis and the assessment of the socio‐economic and environmental benefits of implementing multi‐purpose dams/reservoirs (e.g., for water supply, flood protection) that are enhanced with small hydropower stations and other renewable energy generation elements across the water-energy nexus (e.g., floating PVs). The results of the study support the formulation of the project fiche for the subcategory of projects "Multi‐purpose dams/reservoirs" of the Islands" Decarbonization Fund (IDF).
