Itia is a research team working on the fields of hydrology, hydroinformatics and hydrosystems management. It consists of 21 members; the team leader is Demetris Koutsoyiannis. The name "Itia" is not an acronym; it is Greek for willow tree.
This web site is a repository containing all published research results, the software products and the research projects conducted. Additional sites maintained by Itia are the archive of Itia's meteorological station, including real time meteorological information, and a data base of ancient hydraulic works (under construction).
