Photovoltaic (P/V) systems are one of the renewable energy sources (RES) towards which Greece displays enormous interest. With the use of the P/V effect, that is the direct conversion of electromagnetic radiation to voltage, the P/V system uses solar power to produce electricity. A photovoltaic system consists of one or more panels (also known as frames or “crystals” as often called in the market) of P/V modules (or cells) along with the necessary devices and mechanisms required to convert the electricity produced in the desirable type.
